My Experience with the Raspberry Pi 5: Faster, Stronger, and Ready for Anything

I recently picked up a Raspberry Pi 5, and let me tell you, it's been quite the adventure. For those who might not know, the Raspberry Pi is a small computer that hobbyists, students, and tech enthusiasts like me use for all sorts of projects. I got mine for $80 at Micro Center, and it's been worth every penny.

Why I Upgraded

I've been using the Raspberry Pi 4 for a while, doing everything from playing around with code to trying my hand at some cybersecurity stuff. It's been great, but I started feeling like I needed something with a bit more oomph. Enter the Raspberry Pi 5.

Setting It Up

Getting the Raspberry Pi 5 up and running was a breeze. It looks pretty much like the older models but feels faster and more powerful right from the start. I was excited to see what it could do, especially for my hobby in cybersecurity.

The Big Test

I decided to use the Raspberry Pi 5 to run Kali Linux, which is a tool that cybersecurity folks use to test networks and make sure they're secure. With the Raspberry Pi 4, things were a bit slow sometimes, but the Raspberry Pi 5? It's like it was made for this. Running scans and using different tools is much faster, which makes everything a lot more fun, One thing to note though I think I need the fan since I figured the board overheated when being used for prolonged time and I probably will pick up the fan tomorrow from MicroCenter.

I'm really happy with my Raspberry Pi 5. It's a small but mighty computer that's helping me dive deeper into my hobbies.
